Sons Of Gael - Traditional Celtic Songs

The Sons’ of Gael
The “Sons’ of Gael” evolved from the ranks of Moncton Police
Force Pipe Band in 1994.
A small group of band members started out singing Celtic music
on the bus going to and from piping engagements. One thing led
to another and they soon became recognised and were
entertaining at local and regional events within the Maritimes,
releasing their first CD entitled “Mist Covered Mountains” just in
time to be showcased at the Moncton hosted ECMA‘s in 1997.
For the past sixteen years, the group has aspired to reach out
with their music to Celtic and non-celtic peoples within the
Maritime Provinces, playing at Highland Games, RCMP musical
rides, Celtic concerts, and Fundraising events, sharing good times
and laughter with others through their performances.
The current edition of the “Sons of Gael” includes Geordie Kay,
Don Robinson, Crystal Jones, Allan Laity and Don Sage.
Ironically, the ladies will note, Crystal is the only one of the “Sons
of Gael” who wears the “trews”.
